The British Solomon Islands Project is helping to preserve one of the archives' most important and valued collections. The collection is currently held in the National Archives Solomon Islands (NASI) but needs urgent conservation work to avoid reducing access to the collection.

Palau: Internship programme
This award provides for a member of the staff of Palau National Archives to attend an Internship programme in the National Archives of New Zealand, with particular emphasis on appraisal techniques, disposal schedules, preservation and access, arrangement and description as well as other basic archival functions with a view to the establishment in Palau of a records management programme.
