ICA meetings are exciting events where many cultures and ideas come together. As a Facilitator you help bring these together by providing translated summaries of proceedings in parallel sessions at ICA Conferences. You do not have to undertake word-for-word translation. Instead, at the end of a parallel session you summarise the session in your chosen language. You then interpret questions and answers to support discussion in the Session.
Facilitators will already be attending the Conference and will be invited to become a Facilitator for specific sessions either before or at the start of the Conference. Unfortunately the ICA is unable to pay for attendance at the Conference specifically to work as a Facilitator.
Facilitation is an easy way to become involved in the work of ICA, assist the record-keeping profession and make contact with fellow professionals.
