Reserve team members are the ICA rapid response experts. In collaboration with the Blue Shield Committee the ICA has established its Emergency Management Programme. This programme includes the creation of a number of reserve teams across the world. As a reserve team member you have a proven expertise in a particular area of professional practice.
You will also have received training from ICA in disaster response issues. You will be ready to participate in emergency missions anywhere within a particular geography e.g. Southern Africa, helping professional colleagues on the ground undertake immediate action at times of crisis to salvage and protect e.g. during a flood, after a major fire.
