These guidelines provide advice to associations seeking to establish an awards program to recognise those who have made an outstanding contribution to the profession or given meritorious service to the association.  An awards program can raise the profile of the organisation with the general pubic and provide an opportunity to promote the archival cause.  Those receiving an award will gain kudos and recognition.
