Colleen McEwen has a degree in history and political science and a post graduate diploma in archives administration both from the University of New South Wales, Australia. She has worked as an archivist for 30 years holding positions in the State Archives of South Australia, the Noel Butlin Archives Centre at the Australian National University, the Department of Defence and the National Archives of Australia and currently working as a consultant. She was made a Fellow of the Australian Society of Archivist (ASA) in 2007 and represents the ASA on the SPA Steering Committee.
