Jackie is Director and Principal Consultant for Corporate Information Management Services (CIMS) and the national Vice President of the Australian Society of Archivists Inc. (ASA). She is a professional member of the RIM Professionals Australasia and ASA; and is a member of the Standards Australia IT 21 Committee on Records Management and the organising committees for the International Congress on Archives (ICA) 2012. Jackie has nearly 20 years of professional experience in records and archives management and post-graduate qualifications in information management, business, heritage and education. She has led the development, implementation and review of many recordkeeping frameworks, programs and systems at organisation-wide and sector-wide scales. Better understanding and demonstrating the link between recordkeeping and business performance has been strong professional interest of Jackie's for many years. Having built up extensive interest in this area in 2010 she commenced a PhD through the University of Northumbria in the United Kingdom. Her research topic is "Recordkeeping -a source of competitive advantage or administrative overhead?" Her research focuses on small to medium sized enterprises and applies the principles of competitive advantage and the records continuum. It also considers how best practices standards such as ISO 15489 facilitate improved business performance (not just compliance).
