Dr. Karsten Uhde studied history and German literature. In 1991, he received his Ph.D. from the Ruhr-University-Bochum in medieval history. 1993-1995, he studied archival sciences at Archives School Marburg. Since 1999 he is a senior lecturer at this school, where he is primarily responsible for medieval and modern diplomatics and the internet. 2000-2008, he has been the secretary of ICA/SAE. Since 2008 he is treasurer, records manager and web-master of this section.
