Senior Advisor for Audio Visual Records at Archives New Zealand. Responsible for all aspects of the collections care his recent work includes the 2K digital restoration of three screen film ‘This is New Zealand’ and the 4K restoration of ‘Country Lads’ the first film made by the New Zealand National Film Unit. David is currently establishing Archives New Zealand’s video and audio tape migration program, a digital preservation project. He is a graduate of the Film Archiving Masters degree program at the University of East Anglia and has worked at the Imperial War Museum in London and in television production researching archival footage.
