Newly Elected Officers - Unopposed
Didier Bondue elected Vice-President, Marketing and Promotion
Statement of Policy
After studying history and political science, I began my career in banking then joined the world of industry, working essentially in sales and marketing management positions for 23 years in Saint-Gobain, before the same Group asked me at the end of 2001 to take charge of Saint-Gobain Archives, the structure managing and storing corporate archives.
Very soon, I got involved in the business archives section of the Association of French Archivists (AAF), actually becoming its president (2004-2006) and also took an interest in the activities of the ICA by first taking part in the training commission (CPT) where I promoted the AAF industry benchmark at the international conference of Vienna (2004).
During this event I joined as representative for France the corporate archives section (SBL) and have been the section President since 2010.
My involvement enabled me to bring to the SBL my knowledge of corporate management methods and I have since attended many symposiums promoting corporate archives and the Saint-Gobain model in particular all over the world.
These different events led me in 2010 to organize an international symposium in Blois dedicated to "corporate memory, a tool at the service of management."
It is in this same spirit that within the executive committee of the ICA, I proposed to begin during the executive committee in Seoul in 2010 a market survey on the possibilities of increasing the organization's revenues, the first results of which will be known by the end of January 2012.
It is to implement this work and bring my experience in this field that I wish to stand as a candidate for the Marketing and Promotions vice-presidency.
A marketing approach will not only be a way to give the ICA the means for its development, it will also make it easier for all to gain access.
