The 20th bi-annual conference of ESARBICA will be hosted in Windhoek, Namibia from the 29th June to the 3rd of July 2009. The theme is "Documentary heritage management in the digital age".

Participants will consider the opportunities and challenges of preserving Africa's documentary heritage in digital formats. This is a particularly relevant topic in the context of the rapid development of information and communications technologies and the knowledge society in Africa over the last decade. ICA Secretary General, David Leitch, will be attending the conference and will report on the event on his return.
