The New ICA Website – Latest News

On 20 November 2009, during the Annual General Meeting in Malta, ICA President Ian Wilson officially released the new ICA website.
The new website has been developed at every stage in close consultation with representatives from the regional branches and sections. It has been designed to present ICA clearly and attractively to potential partner organizations, donors and members. The most significant change is that for the first time there is a space devoted to our members only, where they will have privileged access to ICA publications, newsletters, tools and governance documents. After a certain time, these documents will also be available to the general public, but first access to them will be a benefit of membership. The website is a tool to improve communications within ICA and to encourage more colleagues to join the organization.
We wish to emphasize very strongly that work on the current phase of the project has not finished, and that some functionality and much content has still to be added. The new website is still very much in a test phase, and you will find some features that need to be improved.
However, we are aware that there is enormous interest in the website, and that is why we are making it publicly available now.
We expect that all outstanding work on the new website will be completed by the end of February 2010. At that stage the current website will be retired and archived for posterity. Until then please continue to consult the current website for news and important announcements about ICA.
Please feel free to have a look at the new website at http://new.ica.org. It may be not possible to act on your suggestions during the current phase of the project because we need to concentrate on making the new website fully operational. However, all comments received will be taken into account in planning future phases of development.
If you have any comments, please send them to Dimitri Sarris, the website coordinator, at sarris [at] ica [dot] org.
