The ICA’s Africa Programme supported ICCROM’s SOIMA 2017: Sustaining Sound and Image Collections audiovisual archives summer school in Ghana from 9th – 23rd June 2017. Forget Chaterera, Lecturer at the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe, attended the school and has sent the following report :
I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the players who contributed towards the successful running of the training on Sustaining Sound and Image Archives. The training was so enriching and it undoubtedly enhanced my knowledge and skills in managing audio visual archives. I am determined and looking forward to share the knowledge with my colleagues at the work place and particularly with my students whom I am training to become competent audio-visual archivists among other information management professions.
