The Hong Kong Archives Society will once again be celebrating International Archives Day, on Saturday 10th June, with a day of lectures and exhibitors under the International Council on Archives global theme for 2017 is ‘Archives, Citizenship, and Interculturalism.’  The aim of the day is to raise public awareness of the value of archives, and offer the community a unique opportunity to interact with archivists from the field and from all across Hong Kong.  This year the event will be hosted by the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.

We are now seeking expressions of interest from organisations in Hong Kong that make accessible their archives to their public, that wish to exhibit on the day.

We would also like to call for speakers to participate in our lecture seminar; this may to be introduce your archive or institution, share professional case studies, or your own experiences using or working with archives in Hong Kong.
If you are an institution that would like to exhibit on the day, or would like to submit a proposal to present in the lecture seminar, please contact us at: hkasenquiry@archives.org.hk
We hope you will join us in celebrating International Archives Day once again and advocate for the value of archives in Hong Kong.
