The record exchange standard defines a general producer-archive transfer process and transfer format for digital records, in compliance with OAIS and PAIMAS models. Its purpose is to to reduce the risk of loss or compromised records, and the overall cost of transferring digital records from one system to another. This standard is endorsed by ICA, UN/CEFACT and CEN, in liaison with ISO.

Comments on the draft standard are very welcome until the 22nd of February 2008 (to be sent to andrew.waugh [at] prov [dot] vic [dot] gov [dot] au).

Thank you for your help.
