At the 16th Congress in Kuala Lumpur in 2008, the ICA launched an initiative called the Flying Reporters.

This team of young professionals reported on the ICA Congress by analyzing sessions, interviewing participants, and taking pictures of Congress proceedings.

The work of these young professionals kept ICA members who were not able to attend the Congress and others interested in archives and records management informed on the proceedings of and activities around the Congress.

The Flying Reporters are back! A small team of young professionals will be present in Malta this November reporting on the proceedings of CITRA 2009. The team is composed of Anne Bast (USA), Noel Danastas (Malta), Ineke Deserno (Netherlands/Belgium), Cécile Fabris (France) and Christophe Jacobs (France).

Based on the successful model developed in Kuala Lumpur, the team in Malta will work throughout CITRA to gather reports on sessions, interviews with attendees, photographs of proceedings and impressions from participants. Each day they will upload their work to a website and will distribute a printed bulletin to participants.

The team looks forward to engaging with ICA members and participants online and to promote an inter-generational and international dialog.

The reports will be posted on the CITRA and ICA website. Stay tuned for exciting news and impressions from CITRA 2009!
