ICA Programme Commission
The Programme Commission is responsible for the preparation and execution of the professional and technical programme of ICA, for monitoring the activities of regional branches, sections and committees, in consultation with the CITRA Bureau for the professional content of ICA international congresses, conferences, seminars and symposia, and for advising on grants from the Fund for International Archival Development (FIDA). The Programme Commission reports to the Executive Board.
One of the activities of the Programme Commission is to assist the ICA Executive Board in the preparation of the ICA Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan sets out the broad objectives of the ICA. The Programme Commission also assists the Executive Board in the development of the ICA Business Plan. The business plan is a set of activities, projects, and initiatives that constitute the main focus of the ICA programme for a two year period.
The Programme Commission (PCOM) provides support for archival projects that advance the six objectives outlined in ICA’s Strategic Directions 2008-2010.
