SLMT WEBINAR Ambitions for Online Services in City and Regional Archives

Monday 21 June 2021 at 10:00-11:15 CET

The ICA Section on Local Municipal and Territorial Archives is hosting its first webinar on 21 June 2021 on the development of online services in City and Regional Archives. The pace of these developments has changed during the global pandemic and the new challenges faced in maintaining contact with users and stakeholders often require innovative and creative solutions. There are many questions concerning the future of onsite services, the development of remote readerships and how digital presence and interaction can enrich the use of City archives.

4 Speakers from Sydney, Melbourne, Girona and Malmo, from within the SLMT community, will form an online panel to share 15 minute presentations giving their perspective on challenges and proposed or implemented solutions. Questions and answers will be an important part in this, taking forward the discussion.

We hope this format will be  a useful collaboration at a time when we are unable to travel but we do have the ability to share our expertise and experience with fellow archivists.  We will develop this model over the next few years so if you cannot join us for this one look out for the next one or put forward a proposed theme.

Please join us on 21 June by filling out the registration form

The session will be on Microsoft Teams and will be recorded so please switch off your camera if you do not want to be recorded. The session will be in English and last a maximum of 75 minutes. We hope to make the recording available as we recognise not everyone will be able to join us on the day.
