Governance

The highest decision-making body in ICA is the Annual General Meeting. Between Annual General Meetings, the government of ICA is in the hands of the Executive Board, which includes chairs of all regional branches and most sections, thus ensuring broad representation internationally and professionally. The work of the Executive Board is supported by two commissions:

  • The Management Commission is responsible for preparation of Executive Board meetings and for management decisions between meetings of the Executive Board.
  • The Programme Commission is responsible for the preparation and execution of the professional and technical programme.

The CITRA Bureau is responsible for the organisation of the annual International Conferences of the Round Table on Archives (CITRA) and draws up the CITRA programme.

The Audit Commission is responsible for the evaluation of the performance of the ICA programmes and of its external and internal communications.
