The International Centre for Documentary Heritage (ICDH) Korea, under the auspices of UNESCO, in collaboration with ICA’s European Regional Branch (EURBICA) and the Subdirectorate General of the Spanish State Archives, invites EURBICA National Archives members to apply for a specialized workshop focused on developing joint nominations to the UNESCO Memory of the World (MoW) International Register.
The workshop will take place 20–22 April 2026 in Madrid, Spain, and is designed to support National Archives that are already considering or developing joint MoW nomination projects involving two or more countries.
Purpose of the Workshop
The workshop aims to strengthen and refine joint MoW nomination projects through expert guidance. Specialists with experience in evaluating MoW nominations will provide feedback on participants’ projects.
Participants will also be asked to contribute information to a digital platform developed by ICDH Korea, which supports the visibility of existing and forthcoming MoW registrations.
Who Can Apply
- EURBICA National Archives representatives only
- Applicants must have identified at least the concept of a joint MoW nomination with one or more partner countries

Interested institutions must submit a motivation document by 28 January 2026 (23:56 CET).
