The ICA created the New Professionals Programme (NPP) to support, and engage with, future leaders in the archival profession, who will stimulate international engagement from and with their professional communities.
New professionals (NPs) from around the world are selected to become Active NPs – members of the NPP for one year – and participate in all its activities, including during the ICA Conference/Congress.
This year, bursaries will be funded to enable successful candidates to attend the Congress, taking place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 9 – 12 October 2023.
The 2022 Call will close in two weeks – 10 June 2022. Be sure to submit your application before the deadline!
How do I apply?
We will only consider applications in French, English, and Spanish sent using the online application form (available here). Instructions on how to complete this form can be found in the sample application (in the “Downloads” section of this page).
The candidates who would like to send their application form in Arabic should use the PDF/Word document (in the “Downloads” section of this page) and send it to newprofessionals@ica.org.
Applicants should pay particular attention to their responses to ICA expectations and describe in detail how they intend to meet them.
