Two weeks remain to submit your paper or proposal for the next ICA Congress hosted in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 9 to 13 October 2023.
The ICA Abu Dhabi Congress 2023 will focus on Enriching Knowledge Societies. According to Josée Kirps, President of ICA, “this recognises the transformational power of access to reliable information in our modern world. It highlights the significant role played by archives in preserving and enabling access to government and institution records and the multimedia documents embodying our societies.” Considering this, what is your view on the role played by the archival and records management sector?
To further expand the conversation on this topic, proposals for papers can focus on one of the following sub-themes (full description here):
Peace and Tolerance
Emerging Technologies: Electronic Records, Electronic Solutions
Sustainable Knowledge, Sustainable Planet: Archives, Records and Climate Change
Trust and Evidence
Access and Memories
Proposals may fall into any of the following six categories: (1) Paper Presentation; (2) Co-Lab Session; (3) Lightning Talks; (4) Panel Discussion; (5) Workshop and (6) Poster. The ICA Congress Programme Committee may accept a proposal and redirect it to a different category.
