The International Council on Archives’ journal Comma invites submissions for a special issue dedicated to the topic of "New Professionals in Archives and Records Management".

The Guest editors particularly wish to attract authors from among the ranks of new professionals. Accordingly, we are open to expressions of interest and draft proposals which we are happy to review and discuss via email or virtual meetings prior to a final submission. Similarly, we will be offering support and guidance to first time Comma writers as they draft their articles to ensure that we can include contributions from new professionals. Note that articles can be peer-reviewed at the request of authors.

Proposals for texts should include the name of the author(s), whether you consider yourself a new professional, the title, an abstract (of between 250 and 350 words) which describes what the article will be about, together with the main focus, any relevant research, and conclusions.

Proposals should be sent by January 31, 2023, to joint Editor-in-Chief for Comma, Bethany Anderson (comma@ica.org), and special issue editor, Nicola Laurent (laurent@ica.org).
