In the last few months the vacancies for the three elected officer posts have been widely publicized throughout the ICA network.  On 10 April 2014, Atakilty Assefa Asgedom, Chair of ICA’s Evaluation Commission and Elections Officer 2014, informed the Executive Board in Paris that there was only one eligible candidate for each of the three posts.
 

David Fricker
David Fricker, Director-General of the National Archives of Australia, will be the new President of ICA. David’s supporters are Abdullah El Reyes (Director-General, National Centre for Documentation and Research, United Arab Emirates), Eric Chin (Director, National Archives of Singapore) and Carlos Zapata (Director-General, National Archives of Colombia).  Andreas Kellerhals
Andreas Kellerhals, Director of the Swiss Federal Archives, who has been Vice-President Finance since 2010, has been re-elected for another four-year term.  Andreas’s supporters are Michael Hollmann (President, Bundesarchiv, Germany), Hervé Lemoine (Director of the Archives of France), Bjorn Jordell (Director-General, National Archives of Sweden) and Hedi Jallab (Director-General, National Archives of Tunisia).  Scroll down to read Andreas’s CV and position statement.
 

 Henri Zuber
 Henri Zuber, Director of Archives and Documentation at SNCF, France, who has been Vice-President Programme since 2012, has been re-elected for a four-year term.  Henri’s supporters are Hervé Lemoine (Director of the Archives of France), Jaime Antunes da Silva (President, Association of Latin American Archivists), Jean-Philippe Legois (President, Association of French Archivists) and Eugenio Bustos (President, Association of Chilean Archivists). David Fricker will formally take over as President from incumbent Martin Berendse at the General Assembly in Girona in October 2014.  The mandates of all three elected officers will last until the General Assembly in late 2018.
