In 2015, the Board of trustees of FIDA has awarded the following projects, which have been implemented in the course of 2016 :
Seminar for training of trainers on free software for archives management MAARCH, Sénégal
Seminar organized by the Association Sénégalaise des Bibliothécaires Archivistes et Documentalistes ASBAD, 18 participants (12-15 July 2016). The participants were trained on the open source software for archives management MAARCH and in turn can provide training for their colleagues.
Training and Implementation of digital asset management system at the citizens archive of Pakistan CAP
In this project the online digital asset management system (DAM) called Extensis was purchased and employees of the Citizens Archive of Pakistan (CAP) were trained and equipped with the technical knowledge in creating, maintaining and expanding this system. Through this project, CAP is
able to better assemble and organize archived data, currently consisting of about 1,800 interviews
and over 89,000 images stored in sensitive external hard drives in three cities, and thereby to increase
the level of efficiency and productivity of Pakistan’s only oral history digital archive.
Projet d’appui à la gestion documentaire dans deux communes d’arrondissement de N’Djamena au Tchad
Le projet visait à mettre en place des conditions d’un archivage efficace et sûr au sein des deux communes au Tchad. Il s’est appuyé sur les normes et les méthodes du domaine pour élaborer une politique d’archivage, définir les exigences d’archivage et de conservation du flux et du stock, identifier les acteurs, maîtriser les coûts, évaluer la pertinence d’une réorganisation des archives, tenir compte des facteurs d’échec et de réussite.
Séminaires – Ateliers de sensibilisation sur l’importance des fonds Documentaires, Togo
L’objectif visé par le projet était de sensibiliser les agents de l’administration publique sur l’importance des fonds documentaires qui constituent l’un des éléments majeurs du patrimoine national. Ainsi sensibilisés, ceux-ci seront des relais sûrs auprès des décideurs et pourront faire le lobbying indispensable pour l’élaboration des orientations politiques et la définition d’un cadre juridique en
matière de conservation et d’accès permanent au patrimoine documentaire.
Deux ateliers de sensibilisation ont été organisés à Lomé et l’intérieur du pays.
Au total 62 personnes ont participés aux activités des ateliers.
