The COVID19 crisis has an unprecedented impact on our lives and our work. It will also have strong implications in the long run regarding our ways of working and engaging with our audiences and society at large.
Therefore, it is more than ever the occasion for us to reflect on our practices and to put the user, with whom our traditional links are severed, at the center of our considerations. How do we reach him? How do we engage with him? This thinking you are now doing, affects the whole community.
This issue of Flash, which focuses on this theme, taking the example of audiovisual archives, takes stock of the situation. The Adelaide conference and the debates it generated are also considered here, along with ICA major initiatives for its members.
In the issue:
Dossier: Audiovisual archives
Focus: DTAAdelaide2019 “Designing the Archive” conference outcomes
ICA Strategic Review
International Archives Week
Records in Contexts Standard practical application
ICA Offer during COVID-19
