How can you participate in our #75YearsICA celebration?
From Monday 5 to Friday 9 June 2023, we will celebrate our fifth International Archives Week (IAW2023) and this year’s theme will be #75YearsICA, as 2023 marks our 75th anniversary.
The International Council on Archives (ICA) was created on 9 June 1948. To celebrate this day, we are inviting our ICA members and extended community, in collaboration with different ICA volunteers and the sponsorship of Family Search, to attend and participate in a series of virtual activities leading up to the celebration of this week in June.
Our invitation to join these activities is directed at an international community constituted by organizations and institutions from the academic, nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors within or connected with the archival and records management sector in different parts of the world.
All the planned activities are tailored to bring different voices to reflect on ICA’s history, to open and ignite discussions on its future and vision, and to celebrate, with a spirit of cooperation, the achievements and contributions of those who have helped to create the diverse international professional network that is the ICA.
