ICA is pleased to announce that is has become the first organisation granted observer status by the International Conference on Information Commissioners. The ICA will also be giving interim affiliate members status to ICIC, more information to come on this proposed new membership category.
The ICIC connects Information Commissioners, Ombudspersons and other bodies charged with overseeing the implementation of Access to Public Information legislation, from all over the world, in order to foster the protection and the promotion of access to public information as a fundamental pillar to social, economic and democratic governance. ICA looks forward to working more closely with ICIC and we already are planning an event together for the International Day of the Universal Right of Access to Information on the 28 September 2020.
