What you will find in this resource:

At the end of the twentieth century, chemical photography was supplanted by digital technology, which meant the creation of a new landscape. For photography, this new setting brought with it major changes from a technological, social and cultural point of view. For archives, the care of the digital image represents not only a technological, but also a methodological challenge. For the archivist, it is fundamental to understand the object under his or her care, the digital image, and to know how to adapt it to the demands of its environment. This guide aims to establish the foundations for moving forward in this process.
