The International Council on Archives Section on University and Research Institution Archives (ICA-SUV) is delighted to announce the theme of its annual conference 2020: Memory, Human Rights and Good Practice in University and Research Archives. The Annual Conference of the International Council on Archives, Section on University and Research Institution Archives (ICA-SUV), and the IX Ibero-American Congress of University Archives - CIAU of the Ibero-American Network of Archives of Higher Education (RIAES) will be held from 28 September to 2 October 2020 at the Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) with the support of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad del Rosario, the General Archive of the Nation (AGN), the Bogotá Archive, among other institutions.
The objective will be to unite voices from different continents around experiences in the preservation, conservation and dissemination of the memory of nations, through the work of archivists, historians, political scientists, experts in records management, and others who have opted to safeguard the documentary heritage of the world. Presentations will focus on sharing analysis and experiences, with a multidisciplinary focus, about historical memory, archival acquisition, conservation and preservation and the dissemination of archive holdings and collections in different media, including the management of digital material that is part of these archives and collections.
