My name is Joan Soler Jiménez and since 2013 I in charge of the presidency of the Catalan Association of Archivists and Records Managers. I am director of Historical Archives of Terrassa, a city near to Barcelona with 215 hundred citizens. I studied Medieval History and I finished my degree in 1997. After that I went to Rome to study in Vatican School of Palaeography, Diplomatics and Archivistics and also Latin language in Università Pontificia Gregoriana. In 2002 I came back to Catalonia and I studied a postgraduate in managing electronic records and implementing EDRMS in public organizations. Since 2003 to 2009 I and my team tried to implement an EDRMS in the City Council of Terrassa and I think we achieved that. In 2009 I started to work in Historical Archives of Terrassa. At the moment we are managing records from Xth to XXIth century, and this is a really exciting challenge for me and my colleagues. And now, I also represent the Catalan Association in the SPA Steering Comittee.
