MY PROFILE

Elvis Efe Otobo is Associate Professor of Archival Science and Diplomatics and also the Deputy Director, Public Relations and Marketing at Caleb University, Imota, Lagos.

He has a rich working experience in several organizations in Nigeria and Europe. He is also the lead consultant at Dorato Global Services Ltd and Managing Consultant at Veritas International Security Services Ltd. Dorato is a consultancy firm combining leadership development, trainings in records management, archival administration, and information management. Dorato is also the African representative of Onesystems Europe – a computer applications software for archives and records management. While Veritas International Security Services Ltd provide basic and advance level of security services, guards, escorts, intelligence services, protocol services, security training and sales of security equipment.

He is a certified coach, trainer, facilitator, and public speaker who has delivered trainings within Nigeria and across Europe. He is a trained facilitator of the Leadership Challenge and trained LPI Coach working with Leadership Practices Inventory USA. Ambassador, International Summit of Leaders. He is Nigeria's First Business Archivist. He has designed courses in the field of records management and archives administration and information management which have received international endorsements.

He is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations;  International Advertising Association; International Association of Facilitators; Executive member, Society of Nigeria Archivists; Society of American Archivists; International Council on Archives; The Society of Professional Consultants UK; Associate member institute of data management and marketing UK; member of the International Public Relations Association where he has served as one of the  two professionals from Africa and among a few in the world who were selected as judges in the 2019 and 2020 GWA global IPRA award.  A registered advertising practitioner with the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and member of Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN); Member, Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria; Member, ARMA International, President, Records and Archives Management Professionals (RAMP) and Member, PAC - Nigerian Library Association.

He is a public relation, advertising, marketing and educational consultant, a fellow of the Unicaribbean Business School, archival advocate and a digital marketing expert with local and international exposure.

Elvis holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Benin; Master’s degree in Archives, Records and Information Management from the University of Ibadan; PhD in Archives Administration and Records Management  form Babcock University, and Advance Diploma in theology from Redeemed Christian Bible College. PhD honoris causa from the Swiss School of Business and Management, Switzerland. 

He has won many awards locally and internationally.  

He is married to Bridget Obariri Otobo, an educationist and proprietress, Dorato Royal International School, Lagos, and the marriage is blessed with children.
