Please save the date – 9 June in your diaries to celebrate International Archives Day 2017.
International Archives Day is a wonderful opportunity to explain your work, raise the profile of a colleague and explain the important role that archives play in our society. I encourage you to plan a celebration for the International Archives Day under the theme “Archives, Citizenship and Interculturalism”.
Your celebration could include an exhibition, slide-show, film screening – the options are only limited by your imagination! To help you out, the ICA created a Communication Kit that you can use to personalize your posters, bookmarks and postcard.
Send us your customised posters and the details of your event: these will be shown in the World Map of the ICA International Archives Day or highlighted in the site’s news section. Do not miss this opportunity to present your work to a wide public!
Please don’t forget to share the photos of your celebration with us, those shared last year provided a wonderful representation of our archivists and record managers’ diversity and creativity.
