Whether you are an archivist or not, come take our survey! The aim is to identify the needs regarding access to archival resources (access to information, training, documents, professional networks etc.) in Africa. Help us map out archival resources on the African continent!
About the Africa Programme
In 2012, the ICA’s Programme Commission made Africa a priority area for its professional programme work to support the development of record-keeping capacity in Africa, the needs of African archivists and records managers, ICA strategic objectives and priorities, and the delivery of archival education. The Programme is currently in Phase two (2021-2023), as it builds on the efforts attained in the first five years of the Programme. During this phase, the AP is focusing on 2 objectives: to develop sustainable knowledge exchange initiatives and to develop training and trainer competencies.
The Survey
In collaboration with the Geneva School of Business Administration HES-SO, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland, International Francophone Archivistic Portal and l’École Nationale des Chartes, we have launched a survey to assess access to archival resources.
This survey is anonymous and shouldn’t take you more than 10 minutes to complete.
