The ICA Programme Commission (PCOM) provides bursary awards to 10 or more ICA Members (Individual or Institutional Members in good standing, meaning that dues up to and including the current year have been paid before the application deadline) who have submissions accepted for presentation at the Annual Conference. These awards are to encourage Members to attend the annual conference by supporting their travel cost, and to involve our Members in the research and dissemination of archival scholarship. Individual presentations, panels, workshops, lightning talks, and interactive discussions submissions all qualify for consideration, authored or co-authored by an applicant.
I. Terms
The recipients receive a cash award of € 700 to help defray expenses incurred in attending the conference, such as conference registration, airline/train fare, lodging, and meals paid by the recipient. Recipients are encouraged to seek additional funding, as the bursaries will usually not cover the full expenses of the conference. Recipients traveling from outside Australia may ask for an additional sum of up to € 300 to help them cover the cost of travel.
The funds will be transferred to the recipient’s bank account AFTER the conference. ICA will not pay in advance of travel.
