Moving to election of Programme Commission (PCOM) positions by the ICA membership is intended to promote both transparency and diversity in the Commission.  By voting with these ICA goals in mind, you play an important role in making PCOM reflect the global community of archivists in ICA. 
The call for self-nominations period ran for one month between August 9 to September 8 2021, and we received 17 nominations in total, with 11 nominations put forward for the consideration of the membership. A criteria for the nomination process was that they could only be received from ICA members in good standing, meaning that their membership dues were up to date and that nominees were archivists by profession.  
We are now opening a general election for two (2) PCOM positions. Newly elected members will join and complement ongoing members of PCOM (see below).  Please keep the distribution and expertise of the ongoing members, described below, in mind as you vote.

Current members of PCOM bring expertise in management, strategy, records management, electronic records management, preservation, description and descriptive standards, transparency and access to information; disaster risk reduction, archival education, archival training, research and education in history, emerging technology such as AI and Big Data, and the UNESCO Memory of the World program.
A, B and C members in good standing will receive an email invitation over the course of the day inviting them to vote. This email will include the voting credentials that you will need in order to log into the voting platform, if there are any issues or questions please contact ica@ica.org Please note that this vote is weighted as established in ICA Internal Regulations.
The CVs submitted by the 11 candidates for consideration will be available in the members only space of the ICA website
