Solidarity with Caribbean Archivists after Hurricane Dorian

ICA is very concerned by the situation in the Caribbean which has suffered heavy human losses and major physical damages after hurricane Dorian. International assistance is necessary and urgent to stabilize the situation and help a population in great difficulty.

Hurricanes Irma and Maria from 2017 taught us that the current humanitarian crisis also has dramatic consequences for our colleagues in the region.

The Disaster Relief Fund, created after the 2017 events to support our colleagues and organize assistance, remains ready to offer every possible assistance to professionals in the affected areas.

Contact Emilie Gagnet Leumas, Chair of the Expert Group on Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness and responsible for the administration of the Fund, to let her know your needs at : lleumas[at]
