On the occasion of the International Archives Day in 30 cities Polish state archives organize Open Days. They will be held, among others, in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Kalisz, Kielce, Lodz, Olsztyn, Opole, Torun, Tomaszow, Wroclaw and Zamosc. Most archives will open its doors on Thursday, June 9. On Saturday, June 11 in Warsaw will host the 7h Warsaw Archive Picnic.
Archives invite you to exhibitions, presentations and meetings associated with the history of cities and regions. You will be able to take part in workshops with reading historical sources and maintenance documents, and get advice on how to take care of domestic archives and studies on the history of the family. It will also provide a unique opportunity to visit the magazines archives, workshops of maintenance and digitizing. Children will enjoy the games and competitions.
