The project aims to prepare a management programme for vital records in the municipalities in order to ensure their preservation, including education and training. Starting with municipalities in Latin America, the project product will be available for other municipalities in the world.

The project is lead by the Secretariat of the Bogota Municipality (Colombia). The cities of Geneva and Pully (Switzerland) are contributing to the reflection.
The project has bee awarded by PCOM and is supported by ICA/SLMT (Section of local, municipal and territorial archives).
The project should be completed by the end of 2012.
