ICA is pleased to announce the launch of its first virtual conference. The Conference programme is a distilled version of what was planned for the Abu Dhabi Congress 2021 (postponed to October 2023) and we are grateful to the Abu Dhabi Congress Programme Committee for all the work they did. The Conference will take place Monday, 25  October, 2021 to Thursday, 28  October , 2021 and the theme will be Empowering Knowledge Societies which seeks to explore how the archival, records and data landscape in the 21st century is changing public expectations, how we do our work, what constitutes credible evidence and how we protect our holdings. The virtual conference will look at digital transformation including artificial intelligence, new descriptive practices, indigenous knowledge and archival traditions, sustainable information and much more! 
Our keynote speakers will be Elizabeth Denham CBE, outgoing UK Information Commissioner and John Sheridan, Digital Director, The National Archives (UK).  
There will also opportunities to exchange with colleagues on specific topics in our networking rooms or to meet one to one.
