As part of this year’s New Professionals project, we are looking into the way in which the choices we make regarding our digitization strategies impact the stories we tell. We believe that due to circumstance or unconscious bias, records relating to marginalised groups are not being digitized as often, or as much as records of other communities. We wish to better understand how choices are made at a range of institutions around the world regarding what they digitise and why.
We hope that you will take part in our survey and push forward on diversifying our sector, both for the people working within it, those who use it, and those who may choose to use it in the future.
