The Association for the Development of Documentary Activities in Benin (ADADB) organised a meeting on Saturday 28 August 2004 at the Directorate of the National Archives of Benin, in the framework of the 15th International Congress on Archives in Vienna. The Association issued a Declaration affirming the vital role of archives in access to knowledge, sustainable development and good governance, and calling on the government to show greater involvement in the reorganisation of the Benin archives and on ICA and its branches to develop effective tools and support for action on archives.
