El Programa de África del ICA apoyó a la escuela de verano de archivos audiovisuales en Ghana del 9 al 23 de Junio de 2017 con SOIMA 2017 del ICCROM: Conservación de la Colecciones de Sonido e Imágenes. Forget Chaterera, profesora en la Universidad Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología de Zimbabwe, asistió a la escuela y envió el siguiente reporte:
I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the players who contributed towards the successful running of the training on Sustaining Sound and Image Archives. The training was so enriching and it undoubtedly enhanced my knowledge and skills in managing audio visual archives. I am determined and looking forward to share the knowledge with my colleagues at the work place and particularly with my students whom I am training to become competent audio-visual archivists among other information management professions.
