Annantonia Martorano

I obtained a four-year degree in "Literature and Philosophy" with full marks at the University of Florence in 2003 with a thesis in Archivistics.
In 2005 I obtained a master's degree in "Archival and librarianship sciences" (cl. 5 / S 'Archivistics and Librarianship') with a thesis in Archivistics.
In 2008 I obtained the Diploma in Archivistics, Paleography and Diplomatics at the School of Archivistics, Paleography and Diplomatics of the State Archives of Modena.
In 2009 I obtained the title of Ph.D. in Bibliographic, Archival, Documentary Sciences and for the Restoration and Conservation of Library and Archival Heritage, at the University of Udine (supervisor A. Romiti, co-supervisor L. Giambastiani), with a thesis entitled "Guides to the archives of the artistic artisan enterprises of the Province of Florence".
Research fellow in the disciplinary sector M-STO / 08 (Bibliography, Librarianship and Archivistics) in the academic year 2009-2010 at the University of Florence - Department of Middle Ages and Renaissance, I followed the project "The Fund for Lords. Legations and Commissioners. 1406-1444" preserved in the State Archives of Prato.
From 01 January 2017 to 30 September 2018 I was an Archivist Officer (TD) at the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage (now Ministry of Culture) with assignment office at the State Archives of Prato.
In September 2018 I obtained the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) for the II level of teaching.
From 1 October 2018 to 28 February 2020 I was a researcher (RTDa) of Archival Studies at the Department of History, Archeology, Geography, Art and Entertainment of the University of Florence.
Since 1 March 2020 I am a researcher (RTDb) of Archival Studies at the Department of History, Archeology, Geography, Art and Entertainment of the University of Florence.
Currently, I teach Computer Archiving, Private Archiving, Technical Archiving.
I have organized and participated in numerous national and international conferences and I am a member of national research groups on the following topics: archival methodologies and theories, description of public and private archives and organization of archives. I am responsible for the research of competitive projects related to the archives of artists, the archives of the Prefectures and the company archives. I am currently managing a research program on the "Historical roots of cereal growing: technical-archival guidelines for the transfer of agronomic knowledge".
I am a member of editorial committees of scientific and tier A journals. Editor-in-chief of the magazine “Caffe Storico” and Journal Manager of the A-tier magazine JLIS.it
Elected member of the Steering Committee of the Section for Archives of Literature and Art of the International Council on Archives (ICA-SLA) - Mandate 2020/2024.
Member of the International Council on Archives. (ICA membership number is: D4836) and the Section on Literary and Artistic Archives (SLA / ICA).
