On 24 August the Annual General Meeting in Brisbane voted the new ICA constitution into existence. It represents the culmination of a year’s hard work and widespread consultation within ICA bodies. Legally, ICA is an association under French law.
The new Constitution is now available in French and English, the two working languages of ICA, as well as in Spanish. It is intended to simplify ICA’s governance, to strengthen its democratic structures, and to increase opportunities for archivists throughout the globe who wish to participate in the organization. The first internal regulations are also available in English and French.
