The International Council on Archives (ICA) is delighted to invite members of the East Asian Regional Branch (EASTICA) to the 2025 EASTICA General Conference taking place from Monday, 10 November to Thursday, 13 November 2025 in Busan, South Korea. This highly anticipated event will bring together archivists, records managers, and professionals from across the East Asia region to explore the transformative impact of emerging technologies on archival practice.
The overarching theme of the conference is: “Great Transformation on Records Management: From Papyrus to AI Technology”. Under this theme, the conference will focus on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and archival work, highlighting opportunities for innovation and collaboration within the East Asia region.

In addition, the 2025 General Conference will host a fringe event in partnership with the Southeast Asia Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (SARBICA), providing a unique opportunity for cross-regional dialogue. A high-level guest from SARBICA’s leadership will join this session as part of the 4th International Forum on Archives.
