The International Council on Archives is seeking a new Executive Director to lead its Secretariat in Paris and advance its global mission. This important role will guide the organisation’s efforts to advance archives, records management, and documentary heritage on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities 

As the most senior member of the Secretariat, the Executive Director: 

  • Advises the Elected Officers 
  • Is responsible for putting into action the goals and strategies set by the President, Vice-Presidents, the Executive Board, and the General Assembly 
  • Represents the ICA in international settings 
  • Manages staff and financial resources 
  • Strengthens governance processes 
  • Develops partnerships that support the ICA’s strategic priorities
