The first National Archives of Taiwan opened its doors in November 2025. As part of the celebration of the new National Archives, an international conference will be held in June 2026. We sincerely invite you to send your proposal to be part of this conference as a speaker.
As information technology plays an increasingly vital role in the development of the public and private sectors, it has brought about significant changes in archival management’s automation processes and digital governance. This includes the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital archives management, archive retrieval, and open access. These digital technologies are transforming how archival value is created and transmitted, bringing benefits to the archival management field.
In anticipation of the inauguration of the first National Archives, this bureau plans to hold the International Conference on Archives Management – Digital Governance and Smart Services on Wednesday, 10th – Thursday, 11th June 2026 at the National Archives, Linkou, New Taipei City. The conference will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, presentation sessions, and poster presentations.
The National Archives hereby invites your proposals for presentations and posters related to the theme, and subthemes are described below.

Submission Method
The submission should be written in Chinese or English and should include:
- Research Title,
- Keywords (3 to 5),
- Introduction (including research background and purpose, research questions),
- Research Design and Implementation,
- Research Results and Analysis, and
- Conclusion.
Use the submission form at the end of the page to submit your proposal. The manuscript length should be limited to 1,200 Chinese characters or 850 English words and must be filled out in the Submission Form (the form is attached below).
Please use the BiauKai (標楷體) font for Chinese and Times New Roman for English.
Please email your proposal to semiannual@archives.gov.tw. The email subject line must be “International Conference on Archives Management Proposal.”
The deadline for proposal submission is Friday, 30th January 2026.
Review Result Announcement
The results are expected to be announced on the website of the National Archives Administration on the 31st of March 2026 (tentative), with notification sent to the selected authors via email.
Important Notes
- Works that have already been published or submitted to other conferences or journals are not accepted.
- All submitted manuscripts will undergo a single-blind review by an evaluation panel to select the proposals.
- There is no registration fee for this conference; presenter must cover their own travel and accommodation to the National Archives. Once a proposal is accepted, at least one author must attend and submit the presentation materials by the designated time.
- Proposals that do not comply with the format will be rejected.
