The Expatriate Archive Centre (EAC) is excited to announce the 2026 edition of its Master’s Thesis Award, celebrating outstanding scholarly work that deepens our understanding of how expatriation impacts people’s lives.
This award recognizes master’s theses that advance the field of expatriation studies and highlight the experiences of expatriates around the world.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, your thesis must:
- Align with the EAC’s mission and objectives;
- Contribute to the understanding and significance of expatriate life;
- Be written in English;
- Have received a grade of 8/10 or higher (or equivalent, e.g., 16/20, A);
- Have been completed in one of the last four academic years (2021–22, 2022–23, 2023–24, or 2024–25).
How to Apply
All candidates must submit a digital application form. The winner will receive €500, and the executive summary of the thesis will be published online by the EAC and partner organisations involved in the initiative.
Submissions are open until 31 March 2026.
