The ICA is pleased to announce the publication of Comma Volume 2023, Issue 1 – Education and Training, now available in digital and print formats. This special issue focuses on the essential theme of training and education in archives and records management, with ten articles curated by Guest Editor Margaret Crockett.
The contributions highlight how archival education is adapting to global needs: integrating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital forensics, localizing curricula to reflect diverse cultural and historical contexts, and addressing the challenges of accreditation and professional recognition. The issue also explores practical and community-based learning models, including field schools, online programmes, and mentorship, which help bridge the gap between theory and practice.
