This five to six-month internship, based at the ICA Secretariat in the Marais district of Paris, offers students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an international organisation committed to advancing archives and documentary heritage worldwide. The internship also includes occasional work at the French National Archives site in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine.

Main Responsibilities 

Working under the supervision of the Website and IT Coordinator, and in close collaboration with volunteers from the ICA History Project, the selected intern will: 

  • Contribute to the digitisation of ICA’s historical archival collections 
  • Support the organisation and long-term preservation of digitally born records 
  • Gain direct experience with both analogue and digital archival workflows 

These activities support ongoing efforts to make ICA’s archives more accessible to the global community.
